Stephen Fry unveiled a Blue Plaque to commemorate Georgette Heyer at her birthplace in Wimbledon on a sunny and steamy June day. Family and fans gathered to celebrate her sparkling wit and enduring popularity with champagne, tea, sandwiches and cakes.

Film rights to Kate London’s debut novel “Post Mortem” have been acquired by Sly Fox Productions in collaboration with Acorn, which manages rights to Agatha Christie’s books as well as the long-running tv drama series “Foyle’s War”.

“The Two O’Clock Boy”, a thriller by our new author Mark Hill, was bought by Little, Brown in a two-book deal following a hotly contested auction. “A Shameful Murder”, the first in Cora Harrison’s new crime series featuring Reverend Mother Aquinas in Cork in the 1920s, is receiving marvellous reviews.

And we’ve decided to close down our digital imprint Hashtag Books after a year and a half during which it didn’t quite sparkle as we’d hoped. But we are still in the forefront of multi-media publishing and very much engaged in gaining exposure for our authors across all platforms.
