To sum up a year during which the harshness of the publishing climate barely softened, we managed to sell three crime series, a fantasy series, and a clutch of non-fiction projects by authors with whom we persevered despite scores of rejections over several years, we’ve had more than a dozen film and television options taken out or renewed, and we’ve taken on a select handful of exciting new writers working in a variety of genres, of whom there will be news in the coming months.
