A. Y.‘s second novel, Paris Celestial, follows on from Shanghai Immortal and involves Lady Jing travelling west and discovering more about her father’s… somewhat vampiric side of the family.
Born in Canada, A. Y. Chao has lived in the UK with her husband and daughter for some time. She is a recovering lawyer with a vicious xiaolongbao habit and a predilection for knitting.
