Alex Rogers
Professor Alex Rogers is a marine biologist who headed the Ocean Research and Conservation Group within Oxford’s Department of Zoology, where he is a Visiting Fellow while also leading a research group based in Norway. His work focusses on the deep ocean, one of the least explored areas of our planet, and his book The Deep (Wildfire) describes the extraordinary creatures that live without light, in territory that as well as being rich and forbidding is also vital for our survival.
