Angela Thirkell

Angela Thirkell (1890-1961) was a prolific author who is best known for her “Barsetshire” novels, 29 sparkling romantic comedies that take her cast of village characters from the 1930s to the 1950s. High Rising and Wild Strawberries begin a reissue of the books by Virago Modern Classics. Three Houses, the memoir of her childhood which was her first book, has been republished by Allison & Busby.
