Timeri N. Murari worked as a journalist in Canada, London, and New York, and is the author of 14 novels and 4 books of non-fiction. TAJ, a novel about the love between the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan and his queen Arjumand, whose death led him to immortalize her through the building of the Taj Mahal, has been an international bestseller translated into 25 languages. Tim and his wife currently live in Chennai.
