A. Y. Chao’s Shanghai Immortal to Hodder in 5-way auction
More summer deal news: Molly Powell at Hodderscape has acquired Shanghai Immortal plus two further novels by debut adult fantasy novelist A. Y. Chao from Jamie Cowen at Ampersand following a five-way auction. Book one will publish in Summer 2023.

Hodder acquired world English rights, so US enquiries should go direct to them; translation rights will be handled by Jessica Buckman of The Buckman Agency and screen rights by Hannah Weatherill at Northbank.
