Autumn news
A very busy late summer here at Ampersand towers, with numerous deals being done and books released. The highlights include deep ocean expert Professor Alex Rogers’ The Deep being acquired by Headline’s Wildfire Books, a second book by Joel Bird going to 535, Bonnier’s new imprint, and imminent deals both for book rights and TV/film for Ali Harper’s wonderful feminist crime debut Between the Lines. More on this soon…
We must also say a huge congratulations on publication of two wonderful non-fiction books for the Christmas market: Joel Bird’s warm, thoughtful The Book of Shed, a beautifully designed title espousing slow living and making creative use of urban space, and Nate Crowley’s surrealist masterpiece The 100 Best Video Games (that don’t exist). This is a book that largely defies description, but is absurdly funny and has all the makings of a cult classic. We are very proud agents!
A very happy autumn to you all, and to those preparing for Frankfurt, go easy on the wurst…
