Early autumn news

As the glorious summer blows itself out, we have some cheer to usher in autumn.

Numbed by Numbers, Paul Goodwin’s new book on our obsession with and confusion about numbers, and how to deal with them, has been snapped up by Profile. Ciao, Stirling, Val Pirie’s delightful memoir of the golden age of British motor racing and her many years working with Stirling Moss, has been bought by Biteback. And it will be good to see Henry Venmore-Rowland’s two novels about the Year of the Three Emperors, The Last Caesar and The Sword & the Throne, sitting among Canelo’s distinguished list of Roman histories.

All excellent deals for wonderful authors.

We’re also delighted to welcome two new clients to the agency: Timeri N Murari, the Indian author of the international bestseller Taj, which has been translated into 25 languages; and Davidy Rosenfeld, an Israeli writer whose crime novel Farewell, My Babylon, featuring Erez Brown, the Philip Marlowe of Tel Aviv, has been a bestseller in his native country.
