End of year news round-up
We’ve been so busy that we’ve hardly had time to post news on the website lately, but here are a few highlights from the last few months:
* A new 2-book contract with Orion for acclaimed thriller-writer Sharon Bolton
* A new contract with HQ (HarperCollins) for Michael Wood, for 3 more novels in the successful Matilda Darke crime series
* A new contract with Canelo for prize-winning historical novelist J D Davies, for the first three books in a series of naval adventures set in
the time of Napoleon, provisionally entitled Sailor of Liberty
* Four option agreements for film/tv adaptations of novels by our clients (Watch this space for more news of these in 2022.)
* Numerous foreign rights deals for Ampersand clients, negotiated by our sterling colleagues at The Buckman Agency
* More exciting news in the pipeline which we hope to reveal in the new year.
All this alongside signing several promising new clients of both fiction and non-fiction, and considering an avalanche of submissions from all over the world. Yes, we really have been busy. But do keep the submissions coming: we are always eager to find fresh talent.
Festive greetings from the Ampersand team to writers and readers everywhere.
